Maine Postal History ------ Waterville Stamp Club




During the history of Perham, there have been four post offices.

Briefly, the history of these four is as follows:
1. East Perham post office opened on 19 March 1878 and closed on 21 July 1891.
2. North Perham post office opened on 29 October 1891 and closed on 14 July 1905.
3. Perham post office opened on 5 January 1883, closed on 26 October 1887, re-opened on 18 July 1891, and is still operating.
4. Spaulding post office opened on 31 December 1913, closed on 15 June 1918, re-opened on 24 August 1918, and closed on 30 September 1935.
